As per the notification passed in the Gazette of the Ministry of Environment and forests in 1999, all packaging material used for food iteams should be easily recyclable. |

CERC reports have found many brands to have microbial contamination due to improper transport, storage or Packaging. This can lead to high levels of coliforms (e - coli & pathogen bacteria) leading to contamination of the food products |
